Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell - Arizona and Utah
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is a dramatic and awe-inspiring combination of one of nature's most stunning landscapes and one of man's most ambitious water-storage projects. Although the lake extends nearly 200 miles, the blue waters of Lake Powell comprise only 13% of the GCNRA. The remainder is composed of vast expanses of sandstone walls, plateaus, and hidden canyons.
